For Teachers

How To Use This Guide

The Teachers portion of this website is to help give educators a broad understanding about how to purposefully include global education components into your curriculum, no matter what grade level or subject you teach. Inside you will find a wide variety of resources to learn about and use, but there are many, many other resources available. This site is only a guide to help you get started on your global ed adventure!

Start by learning what exactly global education is and why it's so critical to our students. Then, you can use the tips and strategies in the Globalizing Your Curriculum section to see simple and practical ways to include global ed in your everyday lessons. The best part about including global ed in your curriculum, is that it is not a new strategy, or a fad that you are forced to adapt. They are simple tricks to include in the material you already teach!

You can also take a look at the Travel section, which includes a blog I wrote about my experience with the Teachers for Global Classrooms fellowship to Senegal, or you can look through my Resources for Students for ideas on helping students who want to go one step farther. Finally, there is a great page for additional resources (Seattle-Tacoma area as well as national)  to help guide you to learn more.

I hope you find the information useful and be sure to contact me if you have any questions!
